McCOMBIE - Barbara K., 40, Summerhill, died July 17, 2007, at home. Born May 18, 1967, in Colver, daughter of Charles and Margaret (Novotney) Folckemer. Preceded in death by her father. Survived by mother, Portage, and loving husband, Joseph McCombie, Summerhill. Sister of Martha, wife of John Golden, Summerhill Township; Charles Folckemer, and wife, Marie, Sterling, Mass.; and Mona. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A 1985 graduate of Central Cambria High School. Received her bachelor's degree from IUP in 1990. Employed as an elementary school teacher in second grade for Penn Cambria School District. At Barbara's request, there will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold Gaus, celebrant. Committal of remains in family plot in Belsano. Mark A. Serenko Funeral Home, Portage, is serving the McCombie family.
