GLASSER - Pearl M., 86, of Ebensburg, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the home of her daughter, Dolores Chiappini, in Mantua Township, Ohio. Mrs. Glasser was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Ebensburg, the daughter of the late Dennis and Gertrude (Fye) Weakland. She was a lifetime resident of the Ebensburg area until moving to Ohio in February 2007. A homemaker, Mrs. Glasser formerly was employed at the Cambria County Fairgrounds Cicero's Roller Rink refreshment stand, where she met her husband-to-be, Francis Glasser. Together they operated Cicero's Roller Rink in Ebensburg, she being in charge of the refreshment stand and Mr. Glasser the floor manager. She enjoyed roller skating shows with her husband and their family. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Ebensburg. Survivors include her daughter, Dolores (Domenick) Chiappini of Mantua Township; her sisters, Edna Henry and Nita Henry, both of Youngstown, Ohio; three grandchildren; and three-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1973; four brothers; and five sisters. No calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown, Ohio, with Fr. Richard Lambert officiating. Mrs. Glasser will be laid to rest at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at Holy Name Cemetery in Ebensburg. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service in Mantua, Ohio.
