YONAS - Stephen J. "Bull", 80, Nanty Glo, died Oct. 24, 2007, at Caroline Manor. Born April 15, 1927, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Simasek) Yonas. Preceded in death by wife, Helen; sisters, Mary McDonald and Margaret Kinash; and nephew, Micky Lucas. Survived by daughters, Debra Bender, Ebensburg, and Mary Beth Yonas, Nanty Glo; grandson, Todd Bender, Spangdahlem Air Force Base, Germany; and brothers and sister, George Byich, and wife, Mary, Johnstown; John Byich, and wife, Judy, Ebensburg; and Catherine Byich and Joseph Byich, both of Nanty Glo. Retired from Bethlehem Mine 31. U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Member of Nanty Glo Polish Club. Bull was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Veteran's services will be held by local veterans's organizations. Donations may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society in Bull's memory.
