PYTASH - John, 89, Vintondale, died Nov. 11, 2007, at Miners Hospital, Hastings. Born Aug. 6, 1918, in Freeland, Pa., son of the late Paul and Mary (Gaydos) Pytash. Preceded in death by wife, Anna; brothers, Steve, Frank, George and Paul; and sisters, Mary DiMonaco and Helen Zdinak. Survived by sister, Ann Herman, Parma, Ohio, and nieces and nephews. Member of SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Vintondale. Retired from U.S. Marine Corps, where he served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. Member of Vintondale VFW Post 5211 and DAV, Altoona. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where Panachida will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, Fr. Grigori Tsjouman. Interment, church cemetery. Military services will be conducted by local veterans organizations.
