Obituary of Helen M. DeSalvo

DeSalvo - Helen M. (Sartiano), 86, of Ormond Beach Florida and formerly of Ebensburg passed away November 13, 2007 in Ormond Beach and awoke in the presence of the Lord. Born April 10, 1921, daughter of the late Francesco and Carmella (Embesi) Sartiano. Preceded in death by husband, Ernest; brothers: Charles, Albert, and Anthony and sisters: Josephine Ragno, Mary Montegna and Yolanda "Velma" Alessandro. She is survived by children: Dr. Joseph and wife Elaine (Hudak) Carrolltown; Linda and husband Robert Mrosky, Florida; and Frank and wife Jan (Peters), Georgia; and grandchildren Robert A. Mrosky and wife Valorie (Balough), Erica and husband Matt Hudec, Bethany and husband Dario Lozano and Corey DeSalvo; great-grandchildren, Robert P. and Jennifer L. Mrosky. Also survived by brother Col. (Ret) Joseph Sartiano and sister Lena Bongiovanni. Also blessed by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired from Cresson State School as a L.P.N. and continued to do private duty until the age of 75. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held Friday evening.
