WASHKO - Linda Susan (Fenchak), 56, of Myers Street, Ebensburg, passed away November 14, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 30, 1951 in Colver, daughter of James and Francena (Paul) Fenchak. Preceded in death by brother-in-law Joseph Lewis, and father-in-law Michael Washko. Survived by parents, of Colver; husband of 28 years, John Washko; and daughters: Nicole, Pittsburgh and Kayla, at home. Also survived by sisters: Jeanne (David) Robinson, Colver, and Carole (Dennis) Ostinowsky, Nanty Glo; mother-in-law Rose Washko, sisters-in-law Joanne Lewis and Linda Washko; nephews, Bruce Lewis and Jeremy Robinson, and neices, Jamie & Kelly Ostinowsky, and Caitlin Robinson. Retired Benefit Coordinator (HR) for Bethlehem Mine Corp., Ebensburg. Linda was a member of the Ebensburg United Methodist Church, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and Bible School Helper. She was an avid Bishop Carroll Soccer Booster and Forensic s Judge, a Junior Acheivement Advisor and had devoted many years as a Girl Scout Leader with Daisy Troop 727 and Brownie Troop 702. Linda was a loving and devoted wife and mother who elected to retire from her job to concentrate on raising her family. She was a very religious and spiritual person who loved her church family. She is now at peace with the Lord. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Ebensburg United Methodist Church, Pastor Roger Johnson, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. Donations in Linda s memory may be made to the United Methodist Church Missions Program.
