VICINI - Lillian, 94, Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, formerly of Colver, died Nov. 14, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Born July 23, 1913, in Yatesboro, daughter of Guiliano and Assunta (Cavatoni) Zampini. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Baldo; infant brother, William; and sisters, Mary Chimini and Rita Tartoni. Survived by these children: Jean (Robert) Mucciola, Windber; Betty (Richard) Steiner, Crozet, Va.; and Linda (Tom) Ball, Canfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of Ida Osborne, Delaware. Also sisters-in-law, Rose Vicini, Colver, and Jeanne Vicini, West Virginia; brother-in-law, Jess Vicini, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian lived in Colver for many years before moving to Windber in 2002. Lillian worked at the Colver grade school cafeteria, Jo Ann Dress Factory and Cambria County Nursing Home. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of Americas Court 680, Ebensburg, and the Italian Heritage Society. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing pinochle. She loved visiting her family and friends. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver, the Rev. Bernard Grega and the Rev. Henry Joly. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Windber Hospice, Somerset Avenue, Windber, or Colver Fire Company, in Lillian's memory.
