KOHAN - Diane Marie, 49, Berlin, Md., formerly of Ebensburg, died Nov. 13, 2007, in Berlin. Born Nov. 22, 1957, in Colver, beloved daughter of Stephen and Dolores (Stefanick) Kohan. Survived by parents, Ebensburg. Sister of Stephanie, wife of James Strasbourger, Vienna, Va. Also nephews, Craig Aaron and Garrett Stephen Strasbourger. Diane was very close to her aunt, Shirley Conigy who also was her loving godmother. Diane also will be missed by her beloved cats, Houdini and Geronimo. A graduate of Central Cambria in 1975, with honors, and was on the swim team and a majorette. Received her B.A. degree in business at UPJ in 1979, and earned her MBA degree at Drexel University in 1986. During her college years, she was employed as a lifeguard, counselor for youth at Glendale and a paraprofessional for special education. Diane enjoyed arts and craft, making jewelry, planting flowers and gardening. She also loved being near the ocean at Ocean City, Md. Formerly employed as a bookkeeper for Tasty Baking Co. and as a librarian for Drexel University, both in Philadelphia. No public viewing or visitation. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Name Church, Ebensburg, where funeral Mass will be said at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements by Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Donations may be made to Holy Name School Angel Fund, in Diane's memory.
