ANSTEAD - Frederick V., 64, Ebensburg, died Nov. 26, 2007, in Portage. Born May 3, 1943, in Ebensburg, son of Harry and Alma (Farabaugh) Anstead. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mary and Rose Rosensteel; and brothers, Father Clair Tor, William, Robert, Joseph, Paul and Michael. Survived by these brothers: Patrick, married to the former Vivian Bruno, Ebensburg; Thomas, married to the former Joan Dubell, San Bernadino, Calif.; and Conrad "Tony", married to the former Karen Weakland, San Juan Capistranio, Calif.; also survived by special friend, Shirley Fletcher, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake services will be held Thursday evening. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Name School Angel Fund in Fred's memory.
