RUBISH - Mary, 92, Colver, died Dec. 24, 2007, at home. Born Aug. 29, 1915, in Wehrum, daughter of Charles and Anna (Mortrenec) Makosy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John; sisters, Ann Toth, Helen Campbell and Sophie Hajzus; and brothers, George and John. Survived by these children: John, married to the former Judith Mastrine, Ravenna, Ohio; George and James, both of Colver; and Mary Ann, wife of Daniel Adams, Hubbard, Ohio; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sister of Kate Datsko, Rochester, N.Y.; Charles, Ebensburg; Peter, Millmont, Pa.; and Andrew, Colver. Mary was a real homemaker and mother and was active in her church. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where Parastas will be sung at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Brief service at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by funeral liturgy at Holy Ascension Russian Orthodox Church, Colver, the Rev. Father Andrew Matychack. Committal, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
