Obituary of Richard Rager

RAGER – Richard, 76, of  Blacklick Twp., passed away Oct. 3, 2019.  Born  September 30, 1943  in Vintondale, son of the late Roy C. and Marscella M. (Brudar) Rager. Preceded in death by wife, Betty (Gabor); daughter, Lynda Shirk; brothers, Norman Rager and John Shaffer; grandson, Jeremy Stephens; and great granddaughter, Braylee Little. Survived  by daughters, Tamela  (Mitch) Rhine; and Ricki Sue (Joseph) Little. Grandchildren, Vanessa (Justin); Nicole (Jeremy); Justin (Tresa); Milan (Ryan); Benjamin (Tyler); Brock (Aubrey); Corey (Adam); and Jacqui “Rosey”. Great Grandchildren, Dominick, Remy, Trent, Brindley, Rylee, Riley, Brooklyn, Rhett, Briar, Addilyn, Brielle; and Everleigh. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Glenn; Ken (Peggy); Debbie; Rosemarie; and Nathan; and sister in law, Becky.  Social member of Vintondale VFW and Vintondale Firemans Club. An avid carpenter. Richard enjoyed life, fast cars and playing slot machines. He especially loved his dogs.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Pastor Bob Westrick, officiating.
