SMITH – Bernard C., Sr., 81, of Vintondale, went to be with the Lord Nov. 30, 2019. Born Sept. 2, 1938 in Belsano, son of the late James and Ann (McEvoy) Smith. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Annamarie; brothers, James, John, Ken and Ed; and sisters, Henrietta Kopsic; Margaret Lewis; Marie McCahren and Eileen Learn; and son in law, Frenchy Gresko. Survived by wife, Eva to whom he was married for 61 years; children, Theresa (Bill) Roberts; Sandy Gresko; Bernard Smith, Jr.; and Sherry (David) Roberts. 9 Grandchildren. 18 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Robert (Shirley) Smith; and Joe Smith. Sisters, Judy (Tom) Dickson; and Jean (Bill) Patrick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Faith United Methodist Church, Belsano. US Army veteran. Retired from Ebensburg Center. Bernard will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating. Interment, United Brethren Cemetery, Belsano.
