MURTHA - Ann M. (Aroney),  83, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was born on Saturday February 15, 1936 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Humbert and Kathryn Aroney.  Survived by her husband of 62 years, Thomas J.  Murtha; and children: Thomas J (Kimberly) Murtha, Patricia Raugh, Susan Murtha, Timothy (Beth) Murtha, and 9 grandchildren.  Also survived by sister, Virgina Buffoni.   A graduate of Grove City College, in her early years she had worked in the office of personnel at US Steel, Pittsburgh.  A devote catholic, she was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, and had volunteered at the school library.  Member of Ebensburg Womens Club, and former board member of the Cresson Lake Playhouse. Ann was a gracious lady, when faced with adversity she met the challenge with grace.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  A gathering of friends will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, at Holy Name Church Narthex, followed by a funeral mass at 11:30AM, Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to the Holy Name School Angel Fund.  Arrangements in the care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg.
