Obituary of David Kim Edmiston, Jr.

EDMISTON - David Kim Jr., 49, of Colver, passed away December 10, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 31, 1970, the son of David K. Edmiston, Sr. and the late Linda Day.  Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Floyd and Katie Day; paternal grandfather Thomas Edmiston, Sr.; uncle T.L. Edmiston, Jr.;and cousin Cindy Donaldson.  Survived by wife Amy; father David (Karen) Edmiston, Sr.; brother Joshua (Nikki); sisters: Sarah (Theresa) and Mary Beth; paternal grandmother Ruth Carney; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Davey was Manager of Operations at SWR, a third generation family owned company in Ebensburg’s Industrial Park where he traveled internationally as a field technician. He was actively involved in the Sons of the American Legion Post 363, Ebensburg, and was currently serving as Secretary. Member of the IEEE, NAB, AFCCE, and attended the Ebensburg United Methodist Church with his gram.  Davey loved his friends, family, and his wife.  He was humorous, fun loving, and full of life.  He loved to golf, camp, fish, attend concerts (Grateful Dead), and enjoyed Penn State and Steelers games.  Davey loved to “dance, dance, dance”.  He danced his way into the hearts of many, who will always remember his energy and zest for life.  Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, and from 10:00 am until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 am, Saturday at the Ebensburg United Methodist Church, the Rev.
