Obituary of Grace E. Gongloff
GONGLOFF – Grace E. (Lokos), 87, formerly of Nanty Glo, passed away peacefully March 29, 2019 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born October 30th, 1931 in Cardiff, daughter of the late Steve and Grace (Sobonya) Lokos. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by her husband Orville J. Gongloff; brothers Steve, John & Joseph Lokos, and sisters Blance Hankus and Mary Gast. Survived by children: Patricia Gongloff, Frederick, Maryland; James (Joyce) Gongloff, Tennessee; David (Sherry) Gongloff, Nanty Glo; Valerie Clemons, Frederick, Maryland; and step-daughter, Linda (Dennis) Gagnon, of California; Also survived by grandchildren: Brittany (Sean) Snedegar, Joseph Gongloff, Rebecca Gongloff, and Matthew Clemons and great grandson James Paul Snedegar. Grace was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Nanty Glo and a former member of the Legion of Mary. She was proud of her Hungarian heritage and enjoyed Polka music and dancing in her early years. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Mary’s Church, the Rev. Fr. Leonard Voytek, celebrant. Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s memory may be made to Rebekah Manor “Resident’s Activities Fund”.
