GAY – Bonnie Darlene, 78, of Jackson Twp., went home with Jesus on July 18, 2020 at home. Born December 25, 1941, daughter of the late Theodore C. and Mazie Pearl (Simmons) Savering. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Homer Richard Gay, who cherished her completely. Bonnie loved her Savior, her husband, Homer, and her family. She will be missed so very much by her husband and her five daughters: Melodye (Daniel) Olsavsky, Susan (David) Singel, Deborah (Timothy) Smith, Esther (Ray) Primel and Heather (Edward) Baker. She was loved by her 23 grandchildren and her 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Barbara (Ronald) Meekins, Theodore (Archabeth) Savering, Betty Jo Stephens, Richard Savering, James (Susan) Savering, Deborah (Harley) Rollins, Robert (Patty) Savering and William (Paula) Savering; and numerous nieces and nephews. As per Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no viewing, however friends and family are welcomed to bring a chair and join the family in celebrating the life of Bonnie Gay at a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Ogden Cemetery, Mundys Corner, the Rev. Timothy Smith and Mr. Harley Rollins (Bonnie’s son in law and brother in law), officiating. Because of COVID restrictions please wear masks and practice social distancing. “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arms, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young." - Isaiah 40:11.
