Obituary of Mary Ann Johnson

JOHNSON – Mary Ann, 68, of Nanty Glo, passed away Sept. 8, 2020, after a battle with cancer. Born Sept. 12, 1951 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred and Sally Turek. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas E; brother, Michael; step father, John Kuca; and father in law, Thomas I. Johnson. Survived by children, Jennifer (Michael) Giuffre; and Erik (Matthew Jacobs) Johnson. Granddaughters, Hailey and Emily Giuffre. Also survived by mother in law, Ruth Johnson; sister in law and brother in law, Mona and Chooch Soyka; nieces, Jocelyn Divido and Nicole Rummel; loving great niece and nephews, Adison  Divido, Carter and Chase Rummel; and Liam Divido; and many beloved relatives and friends. Retired school teacher with Blacklick Valley Elementary School. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time creating memories with her loving family. A gathering of family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. – noon on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo. Private service at the convenience of the family.
