MARCHU – Walter “Sam”, Sr., 90, Nanty Glo, formerly of Florida, passed away Oct. 1, 2020 at home. Born June 8, 1930 in Colver, son of the late Michael Marchu and Adeline Kucenski. Preceded in death by wife, Linda; brothers, Ed, Pete, Nick, John and Bill; sisters, Alice Price and Martha McKissick; Survived by sons, Walter Jr. (Kathleen Wojcik) Marchu; and Richard (Shane) Thompson.  Granddaughter, Melissa Daniely. Great Grandchildren, M.J., Kayla and KaMya. Step grandson, Nathan (Shannon) Myers. Step great grandchildren, Kendall and Kaeden Myers. Also survived by sister, Betty Eisenhuth; and sister in law, Maryann Kucenski.  US Navy Veteran with 20 years of  service. Owner of Sam’s Air Equipment & Repair, Jacksonville, Florida, for well over 30 years. At Walt’s request there will be no viewing. Private interment at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Special thanks to Ascera Care, Alli, Sarah, Tammy, Ashley and Mary. In lieu of other memorials, the family suggests donations in Sam’s memory be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nanty Glo. Arrangements in care of Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.
