Obituary of Leona Wirfel

WIRFEL - Leona (Morris),  85,  of New Germany passed away at home surrounded by her loving family.  Leona was Lee’s bride of 45 years, a cherished mother and proud, doting Grammy Le & Great Gram.  Leona is greeted by her husband Leroy, grandsons Joel Wirfel, Bradley Wess. & great grandson Ty Gongloff.  Leona’s most precious joy was her family whom she devoted her entire life to. Her family will be forever grateful for a lifetime of love, laughter, fun & special day memories which will warm their hearts always.  She is remembered through her children:  Kathy & Ron Wess, Jack & Lisa (Radebach) Wirfel, Brenda Wirfel,  Margie & Terry Gongloff, and Karen & Dave Wess.  Beloved Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Deanna (Bopp) & Jason Bell – Samuel, Violet, & Nora;  Courtney (Wirfel) & Anthony Piccioni  – Monroe, Campbell, Santino; Ryan Wess; Jamie (Wirfel) &Troy Baumgardner – Kinleigh, Boe, Kip, & Bek.  Nicki (Bopp) & Denton Lester  – Jocelyn, Claire, Garrett, & Meghan; Mark & Natalie (Thomas) Gongloff  – Alley & Thomas; Jon & Kayla (Sedor) Wirfel  – Brooklyn, Ty, & Cooper; Stacey  (Bopp) & Jude Wieczorek – Lilah, Adam, Pearl, & Crosby; Kristi (Gongloff) & Corey Millward – Levi, Madison, & Kendall; Steven & Jess (Link) Wess – Coleson & Ryder;  Karissa (Wess) & Kevin Angleson; Heath Wirfel & Haleigh McCall – Finn Wirfel.  Also Brother-in-law Claude Wirfel and numerous siblings, extended family, and friends.  “She will always be our sunshine.” We love you a bushel and a peck.  A celebration of Leona‘s life with family and friends will be observed during a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Germany, Rev.
