Obituary of Shirley A. (Zerfoss) Buchkoski

BUCHKOSKI – Shirley A. (Zerfoss), 85, of Ebensburg, passed away June 17, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born September 15, 1935, daughter of the late Morton and Susan (Dickey) Zerfoss.  Preceded in death by husband James Buchkoski, brothers: Hilton, Delbert, Jay and Leo Zerfoss; sister, Ruby Watson, and infant sister Thelma.  Survived by sister Jean Dively; brother Orlo Zerfoss; and several nieces and nephews.  Shirley retired in 1991 as a registered nurse at the Ebensburg Center (State School), having served for 27 years.  At Shirley’s request, a private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Interment at Armagh Cemetery.   Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.   (www.askew-houser.com)
