MASSARELLI – Michael Scott, 58, of Sunset House, Ebensburg Center, passed away September 24, 2021 at the Center. Born September 3, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of Patrick and Audrey (Erickson) Massarelli. Preceded in death by his father. Survived by mother, of Sun City, Arizona; sister, Pam (Trevor) Meador, of Phoenix, AZ; nephews Mickel and Troy; great niece Maddison and great-nephew Bentley; as well as his Ebensburg Center family of caregivers and friends. Michael was a fun-loving man who liked interacting with people. His chatty personality made getting to know him an enjoyable experience. Michael liked to manipulate items like matchbox cars, trucks, and blocks during the day, especially when he went to what he liked to call “school”. He used to say “bye bye” as a sign he wanted to go on car rides or ride the bus around the center, which he loved. Michael enjoyed being outside in the fresh air and watching the different types and colors of cars and trucks go by. Over the years he loved going on outings, especially ones which involved food. He would often say “eat, eat, eat” when he knew there was a picnic or other food involved. He was always ready to acknowledge his favorite staff with a smile or hug. Michael was a great man who will be missed by those who knew and cared for him. Private Funeral will be held with his family back in Arizona. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc, Ebensburg. (www.askew-houser.com)
