Obituary of Delores Jean Patrick
PATRICK – Delores Jean (Smith), "Jean", 73, of Mundy's Corner, went home to the Lord on September 27, 2021 in Richmond, Va. Born Sept 26, 1948 in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late James and Margaret (McEvoy) Smith. Preceded in death by grandson, Travis James Patrick; and brothers and sisters, Margaret Lewis, James, John, Henrietta "Toot" Kopsic, Marie McCachren, Eileen Learn, Bernard, Ken, and Ed. Survived by her husband, William "Bill"; children, Jacquie (Ken) Ritchey and Jim (Kim) Patrick; and grandchildren, Billi-Jo (John) Cintron, Devin Patrick, and Abigail Patrick. Also survived by brothers, Bob (Shirley) and Joe; and sister, Judy Dickson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was a loving wife, mother, and nana. During her life, Jean worked as a nurse's aide at Laurel Crest, as well as a cook for the Keystone Truck Stop. Mom was also part owner of a food concession stand at the American Legion Cambria County Fair for 22 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Nanty Glo. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Pike Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Rudy Sheptock, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jean's memory to The Shriner's Hospital for Children , an organization dear to her heart after the passing of her grandson, Travis James.
