Obituary of John Thomas Coder

CODER – John Thomas “JT”, 59, of Sunset House, Ebensburg Center, passed away September 30, 2021 at Select Specialty Care, Johnstown.  Born July 8, 1962 in Altoona, son of the late Charles and Mary Lou (Almond) Coder.  He is survived by his brother Charles (Peggy) Coder of Altoona; sister, Linda Blatenburger, Virginia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  John had a mischievous grin that would make you smile and was a bit ornery in a good way. He was always very happy and had a great sense of humor.  He loved to tease his house staff and do things like take their keys.  He loved iced tea, chocolate and parties.  He enjoyed picnics and being outdoors in the warm weather.  He was a people watcher, liked music and would reach for his caregiver’s hand to get them to dance with him.  JT was a very loveable guy and he will be greatly missed.   A special thank you to all at the Ebensburg Center who loved and cared for him.  Private Services will be held at the convenience of his family.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
