PELIPESKY - Kathryn A. "Katie", 90, Laurel Crest Manor, passed away April 18, 2007 at the manor. Born December 14, 1916 in Moranne, PA, daughter of the late John and Mary Kropinsky. Preceded in death by husband George, sons Victor and Edward, sister Nellie Shumack and brothers Andrew and Michael. Survived by children, Ann Sigurdson, Michigan; George (Donna), Bellefonte; Stephanna (Ellis) White, Nanty Glo; Barbara Parsons, Virginia; Jim (Mary Kay), Nanty Glo; Larry and fiance Candy, Nanty Glo; and David (Joanne), Maryland. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Sister of Frances, Sophie, John and Steven; Special nephew, Donald (Mary Ann) Shumack, and numerous neices and nephews. Member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, Blacklick Valley Senior Citizens, and Twin Rocks VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Katie enjoyed crocheting, canning and polka dancing. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where Parastas will be held 7:30 pm Friday. Brief Service at 8:30am Saturday at the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 9am at St. Nicholas Church, the Rev. Wesley Mash. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Nanty Glo.
