BAYLOCK - Dr. Adrian Francis, 93, of Estero, FL, formerly of Ebensburg, PA, died August 10, 2021 in Bonita Springs, FL. Born July 28, 1928 in Patton, PA., son of Michael and Agnes (Harancher) Baylock. Predeceased by parents, brothers (Leo, and Gerald) and infant daughter Ruth Ann, he leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Emma (Sunseri) Baylock, 6 children, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren: Lou Ann (Philip Cater) and children Christopher and Carman; Marilee (Bob Tudi) and children Renee Putze (Mike), Bobby (Olga), Becca Christof (Brad), Dom Tudi (Carley), Dan (Emily), Gina and David and 15 grandchildren; Jerry (Alicia) Holmdel, NJ and children Chloe and Emily; Dr. Carol Stapanowich (Frank), Virginia Beach, VA and children Nicholas (Jose), Bethany Gurba (Dave) and Matthew (Amy); Donna (Tom Kocur) Cary, NC and children Bobby (Emily), Anthony and Gianna; Alan, MSgt, USAF, Ret. (Maria), Denton, TX and children Francis, Michael and Anna. Also survived by sister-in-law Mary Louise Baylock. Adrian served as a Master Sergeant in the 424th Field Artillery Battalion in Korea from 1950 to 1952 where he received three Battle Stars. He was Professor Emeritus from St. Francis University, Loretto where he taught mathematics for over 40 years, touching countless lives with his mathematical knowledge, compassion and wit. He received his doctorate in mathematics from Penn State University and Bachelor of Science from St. Francis University. He was a member of the Mathematical Association of America, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, American Mathematical Society and American Statistical Society. He served as Cub Scout Master and 4-H Leader. Adrian was described by many as a quiet man of intelligence, humor and strong faith. He was a daily communicant who served as Eucharistic Minister at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg and Our Lady of Light, Fort Myers, FL and a founding team member who brought Cursillo to the Altoona-Johnstown diocese. He enjoyed playing folk guitar with his family and friends, trap shooting, hunting, gardening, yard work, biking, horse shoes and shuffle board. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Brian Warchola, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery.
