MAKIN – Sydney Ryann, 14, of Colver, passed away October 26, 2021 at home. Born December 27, 2006 in Johnstown, daughter of Dale and Mary (Kelly) Makin. Preceded in death by maternal grandfather Paul Kelly, paternal grandparents Russell and Norma Makin, and brother-in-law Luke Trotz. Survived by parents, at home; sisters Stephanie (Dan) Smith, and Samantha Trotz; nephews, Sebastian and Waylon; maternal grandmother Betty Kelly and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. Sydney was a freshman at Central Cambria High School where she was involved with Track and Field. She was an avid Trap Shot enthusiast and was a member of the Colver Sportsman Trap Team. She enjoyed hunting, camping, boating, fishing, trips to the beach, riding quads and horseback riding. She loved playing badminton in her front yard and playing with remote control cars. She was a member of the classic car club “The Rusty Nuts”. Sydney will be long remembered for her love of food, especially snacks, and she also loved dogs. Special thanks to all who have mentored and guided Sydney in her various activities. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. for family and close friends, Fr.
