SEESE - Galen Phillip, 79, Ebensburg, died November 2, 2021 at UPMC Altoona after a brief stay. Born August 19, 1942 in Johnstown, son of Orlando D. Jr., and Olive L. (Shaffer) Seese.  Preceded in death by parents, in-laws John P. Sr. and Lorraine E. (Truscott) Price, grandson Andrew Galen Seese who died in 2020 and brother-in-law Barry Horne.  Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Darlene R. (Price) Seese, whom he married June 1, 1963 in Portage.  Children: Daniel G. Seese, wife Mary;  Jeffrey T. Seese, wife Danielle; Michael J. Seese, wife Beth Ann; Grandchildren: Jason D. Seese, fiancé Michaela O’Toole;  Teleshia N. Bualat, husband Ben;  Philip T. Seese, wife Nicole; and seven great grandchildren, Addasyn Seese, Dallas Seese, Miah Seese, Emily Wilson, Benji Bualat, Kaden Seese and Cooper Seese.  Also survived by sisters: Linda Seese Horne, Johnstown and Karen Seese Sichak (Nick) Wyomissing; Brother-in-law John P. Price, Jr. (Elaine) Windber; and many loving nieces and nephews as well as beloved family and friends.  Galen was a graduate of Richland High School, class of 1960 and went on to earn an Associate Degree in Land Surveying at Penn State of which he remained a lifetime Alumni member.  In 1977 he was president and one of three original founders/owners of CPS Surveys, Inc., Ebensburg.  Throughout his life he enjoyed giving of his time to his community through memberships in Sons of American Legion as Historian, the Jaycees, where he was given the JCI Senator award, and First United Church of Christ, long time member, where he was also Chairman of the Trustee Board for many years.  American Legion Bowling Association and served as a member of the board of directors and president of the board for the Lloyd Cemetery Association.  Proud member of the Masons – Summit Lodge 312, and the Scottish Rite – Altoona Valley Lodge, the Pennsylvania Society for Land Surveyors (PSLS) and member of Swampy Meadows Camp (Renovo) and Silver Knob Camp (Huntingdon Co.) where he enjoyed hunting and fishing the great outdoors and family and friends.  A staunch Penn State Football, Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan as seen in his yearly Christmas tree, leather coats, hats and his man cave.   He will be missed for his sarcastic wit, unwavering love for his family and the ability to enjoy a glass of good scotch with anybody.  Special thanks to Dr. R. Scott Magley and staff, the ICU staff and Pastoral Committee of UPMC Altoona for their kindness and care. There will be no public viewing.  A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at the Ebensburg United Church of Christ.  The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. (Mask's Required)   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the First United Church of Christ, 217 E. High St., Ebensburg, PA 15931 in memory of Galen.  Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences may be left to the family at www.askew-houser.com
