BUCCA - Dolores A. “Dolly” (Gaydos), 75, of Hastings and formerly of Ebensburg, passed away Nov. 11, 2021 at Miners Medical Center, Hastings. Born June 30, 1946 in Spangler, daughter of the late John and Ann (Marusa) Gaydos. Preceded in death by first husband Gerald R. Zedek Sr, Mike Mihalik and Charles Bucca; sisters, Marjorie Gaydos and Mary Ann “Mae” Kopera; brothers, Robert, Joe “Chub”, Jack; brother-in-law, John J. Kopera; and nephew, Justin Tibbott. Survived by life partner, James Prasko, Hastings, son, Gerald R., Jr. (Kelly) Zedek, Seven Valleys; daughter, Tammy (Jeffrey) Kettel, Scranton; David (Joyce) Prasko, Hastings; Mark (Melinda) Prasko, Northern Cambria; James Prasko Jr., Burgettstown. Dolly loved being with her grandchildren: Rylee Anna and Avree Rose Zedek, Anna Jane Kettel and Jeffrey Thomas Kettel, Jr., Lauren Atkins, Lindsey, Morgan, Luke, Kacie, Emily, and Jack Prasko. Dolly was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Theresa Gaydos and Jane Gaydos; aunts, Marge Janovich and Helen Marusa. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Former member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, and most currently a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Parish in Northern Cambria. Dolly was employed with the Barnesboro Shirt Factory, Cambria County Fair, INFOCON Corp, and as a caregiver. Dolly was especially proud of her upbringing in Emeigh and of her Slovak heritage and enjoyed making her Slovak dishes, speaking Slovak and enjoyed doing crafts. “Bubba”, as her grandchildren called her, loved trying to teach them Slovak.  A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Condolences may be left to the family at www.askew-houser.com
