Obituary of Carolann Yunetz

YUNETZ – Carolann (Otvos), 80, formerly of Summerhill, passed away November 19, 2021 at Laurel View Village Health Center.  Born June 22, 1941 in Windber, daughter of late Steve and Anne (Slovich) Otvos.  Preceded in death by husband Daniel A. Yunetz.  Survived by son Daniel (Mariana); daughter Stephanie; three grandchildren:  Rachel, Daniel and Samuel; and brother, Steve (Janet) Otvos.  Carolann graduated with honors from Conemaugh Township and was a proud member of the National Honor Society.  She was employed by Johnstown Bank & Trust for 35 years as a bank teller.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her entire family.  She graciously volunteered her time at St. Andrew’s School and Church.  She enjoyed spending time with her family doing a variety of activities.  She also enjoyed doing arts and crafts with family and friends.  She always had a smile and good thing to say to anyone she met.  Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Laurel View Village for taking such good care of our mother.  Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church, Summerhill, the Rev. Fr. Joseph Nale, celebrant.  Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Carolann’s memory may be made to Laurel View Village “Caring Fund” 2000 Cambridge Drive, Davidsville, PA  15928-9220.
