Obituary of Laura M. Beltowski
BELTOWSKI - Laura May, 87, of Hastings, passed away peacefully December 22, 2021 at St. Benedict Manor. Born May 7, 1934 in Claysburg, daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryn (Imler) Helsel. Preceded in death by husband Frederick S., who passed in 2016 after a marriage of 60 years, son Mark Beltowski, and grandsons Mitchell and Ryan. She is survived by her loving children: Rose (Bud) Beunier; Kevin (Christine) Beltowski; Paul (Gerilyn) Beltowski; David (Denise) Beltowski; Linda (Robert) Bernard and daughter-in-law, Robin Beltowski. Loving grandmother of: Bud, Kayla, Breana, Joshua, Jared, Chad, Vanessa, Kristin, Ali, Paige, Niko and Sam; Loving great-grandmother to Emma, Carter and Piper, Emerson and Levi, Finley and Boone; Parker and Wade, Sebastian and Adelaide, Charlie and Bair. She had worked as a registered nurse at the former Miner's Hospital in Spangler. Laura was a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, Hastings and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Friends will be received from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 30th) at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday (Dec 31st) at St. Bernard Church, the Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant. Luncheon to follow at the church hall. Interment at St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laura's memory to the Daughters of the American Revolution (www.dar.org/giving).
