Please share a memory of Charlotte to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

NEVILLE - Charlotte G., 97, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Ebensburg, PA entered eternal rest on December 23, 2021 at Vincentian Homes Nursing Care. Charlotte was born on September 19, 1924 in Derry, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late LeRoy and Gertrude Mills. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Earl Neville in 1998, and four siblings. She is survived by her children: Donald Neville, Plainfield, IL; Patrick Neville and wife, Diane, Vero Beach, FL; Karen, wife of John Balog, Chesterfield, MO; Janice, wife of William Kirkpatrick, West Chester, PA; Kathleen, wife of Glenn Smith, Glenshaw, PA; Lawrence Neville and wife, Jennifer, Valrico, FL; Kenneth Neville and wife Janis, Woodstock, GA; Terrence Neville, Loveland, CO; Mary Lynne, wife of Larry Williams, Murphy, TX; Claire Neville and partner Brian Mathis, Kennewick, WA; William Neville, Oakland, CA; 25 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews, and assorted cousins. An all around nice and soft spoken person, Charlotte experienced a long life, well lived. After high school, during WWII, she worked for the FBI in Washington, DC as a file clerk. Subsequent to the war, she married and settled into a long term career of raising eleven children - baby boomers all! When she wasn’t busy corralling her gang and cooking, she enjoyed reading, music, crossword puzzles, bowling, crocheting afghans, her card club, lunches with friends and the occasional glass of ‘white zin’. In her later years, she was a diehard Steelers and Penn State football fan. A private and stoic person, her pride in her children and her love and loyalty to her large extended family are her legacies. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church  Ebensburg, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.,  Rev. Brian Warchola, celebrant.   The family is requesting guests to please observe CDC COVID 19 masking guidelines. Entombment will follow in Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Charlotte’s memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America, dementiasociety.org. Condolences may be left for the family at www.askew-houser.com
