Obituary of Lauren Anne Pryce

PRYCE - Lauren Anne, 64, of Ebensburg, passed away with family surrounding her on December 27, 2021.  Born June 18, 1957, in Colver, PA.  She was predeceased by her parents, David N. Pryce and Elizabeth A. (Scanlan) Pryce.  Survived by her daughter, Janice M. (Daisley) Onkst, husband Chad, of Northern Cambria, and three grandchildren: Logan, Taylor and Mya Onkst.  Also survived by her sister Terry (Pryce) Mardis, of Harrisburg, and brothers James T. Pryce and Richard N. Pryce, of Ebensburg, and six nieces and nephews: Leigh Anne Mardis, Harrisburg; Megan A. Williams, New Cumberland, PA; Dwayne and Brennan Pryce, Seattle; Brandyn Pryce, Chandler, AZ; Brady Pryce, Bridgeville, PA; and great nieces: Layla and Lana LeCain, and Adalynd and Henley Williams, New Cumberland.  Laurie graduated from Bishop Carroll High School in 1975.  Laurie spent the early part of her career as a paralegal and also was a Licensed Practical Nurse. During the latter part of her career, she took care of many family members, and was employed by several home nursing care entities. She was also an avid lover of cats.  Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5th, 2022 at Holy Name Church Roman Catholic Church, the Rev. Brian Warchola, celebrant.  Interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Loretto.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie’s memory may be made to Holy Name School Angel Fund.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
