LEONARD – Alvin H. “Al”, 81, of Ebensburg, passed away suddenly February 16, 2022 at home. Born July 19, 1940 in Ansonville, Clearfield County, son of the late Thomas F. and Vanetta M. (Browand) Leonard. Preceded in death by sister, Shirley Supp, and two step-sisters. Survived by wife, the former Patricia “Patty” (Balsinger) Leonard, to whom he was married 57 years and sons: Michael (Maria) Leonard, Pittsburgh; Jeffrey (Patty) Leonard, Hollidaysburg; Keith (Anastasia) Leonard, of Moon Twp., Pa. and six grandchildren. Al was a graduate of Penn State University, where he received his Bachelors in Civil Engineering. He was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania where he served as at Civil Engineer for the Dept. of Environmental Resources with 34 years of service. A Vietnam veteran, he had been a member of Ebensburg Post 363, American Legion, where he played on the billiards team. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends. At his request there will be no viewing. A private celebration of his life will be held by his family later on in the spring.
