Obituary of William F. Mazey
MAZEY – William F., 94, of Vintondale, passed away peacefully February 26, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Born October 28, 1927 in Buffington Twp., son of the late Margaret Rager. Preceded in death by first wife, Edith Pearl (Burkett) Mazey; second wife, Helen (Evans) Mazey, and granddaughter, Lisa Renee Beltz. Survived by daughters: Darlene (Dennis) Beltz and Helen (Paul) Campbell and step-son and special caregiver Steven Yerty, all of Vintondale. Also grandchildren: Ronald Beltz, Robert (Liz) Conrad, Ethan Stiffler, Casey & Nicole Yerty and great-granddaughters Claira Ann Conrad, and Breanna Over. Bill was a retired coal miner, having been employed by Bethlehem Mine #33 in Ebensburg and a member of U.M.W.A. A World War II Navy veteran, he held a life membership in the VFW. A devoted Christian, he was a member of the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Geno Bartoletti, officiating. Interment at Armagh Cemetery. Military rites will be held by the Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale Veteran’s Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nanty Glo First Baptist Church. Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
