Obituary of Roy Earl Gittings

GITTINGS – Roy Earl, 78, of Colver, died March 18, 2022.  Born September 16, 1943 in Colver, son of the late Harry and Kathleen (Curry) Gittings. Preceded in death by brother, Harry Gittings and sister, Gail Novak. Survived by children, Rory Gittings (Jennifer Westrick) of Shelocta; Gerard (Alyse) Gittings, of Gallitzin; Aaron Gittings (Amanda Fulton) of Colver; and Samantha Gittings (Brandon Turner), of Colver. Grandchildren, Harlie Gittings, Levi Gittings, Caleb Gittings, Brionna Szalkowski, Alex Szalkowski, Hayden Turner, Brennox Turner, and Jaxon Gittings. Also survived by brothers: Dean (Mary) Gittings, of Ebensburg; and J. Robert “Bob” Gittings (companion, Shirley); of Patton; sisters: Shirley Leskosky, of Ebensburg; and Joan Carns, of Ebensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:30 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, the Rev. Bill Warrick, officiating.
