Obituary of Raymond Walter Miller
MILLER – Raymond Walter, 76, of Ebensburg, passed away suddenly on April 13, 2022. Born March 6, 1946 in Spangler, son of the late Clyde and Esther (Lute) Miller. Preceded in death by infant sister Margaret Mae. Survived by sisters, Ethel and Martha Miller, with whom he resided; and Mary (Robert) Perez, Ebensburg. Also survived by his pet cats “Tom” & “Blackie”. Ray was retired from the former Laurel Crest Manor, where he worked in the housekeeping department for 30 years. Previous to that, Ray had worked at the former Dairy Dell Restaurant in town. A creative spirit, Ray enjoyed doing crafts and tending to his flower beds. He was an active volunteer for 14 years at the American Legion County Fair Agriculture Building and had formerly volunteered for the Cambria County Historical Society. Friends may gather from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (April 20th) at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg; where a Memorial Service will be held the following Tuesday, (April 26th) at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Brian Davis, officiating.
