SCOTT – Paula J. (Evanchick), 75, of Colver, passed away April 14, 2022 at Windber Hospice.  Born June 3, 1946 in Colver, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Goldian) Evanchick.  Preceded in death by brother-in-law Rick Lapinksy.  Survived by her husband, Philip, to whom she was married 25 years and children:  Nicholas (Kimberly) Kinek, New Kensington, Pa.; Jennifer (Brian) Davis, Colver; step-son Marc Scott, Southhampton, Pa.; grandchildren:  Nicholas & Cole Kinek; Emma & Benjamin Davis, and Parker, Brooke and Megan Scott.  Also survived by sister, Patricia Lapinsky, and Metro (Clara) Evanchick, all of Colver.  Paula was retired from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Education, where she served in the teacher certification division.  She had also been employed in her early years at the Ebensburg Center (State School).  A devout Catholic, she was a lifelong member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church where she served as church organist for many years.  Paula loved her home and enjoyed entertaining visitors.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 13th, 2022 at Holy Family Church, Colver, Rev. Fr. Christopher Lemme, TOR, celebrant.  Paula loved to assist charities, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital was one of her favorites, but in lieu of flowers,  donations would be appreciated to any children’s charity of your choice in her memory.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
