Obituary of Leslie Thompson
THOMPSON – Leslie A., 70, of Ebensburg passed away June 9, 2022 at home. Born May 13, 1952 in Altoona, daughter of the late Anthony and Ann (Dalpra) Roberts. In addition to her parents, Leslie is preceded in death by a brother, Alan Roberts. Survived by husband, Dennis; children, Suzanne (Rich) Hall, and Mark (Stephanie) Thompson; as well as grandchildren: Allison, Tyler, Corey, Amber, Noah, Peyton, and Jackson. Also survived by sister, Judy (Richard) Pearlman; brother, Doug (Candyce) Roberts; and sister-in-law, Susan Roberts. Leslie worked for many years as a teacher, working for both Holy Name and for Appalachia IU8 before retiring with 32 years of service. Leslie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. She was always dedicated to their activities, whether it was soccer, basketball, piano recitals and so much more. “Nonni” was always there rooting them on. She always let them know how much she loved them, and they sure loved her in return. She will be in our hearts forever. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery.
