Obituary of Randy W. McKavish

McKAVISH - Randy W.,  68,  of Ebensburg passed peacefully June 11, 2022 in Virginia.  Born February 25, 1954 in Johnstown, son of the late Stanley and Virginia (Roberts) McKavish.   In addition to his parents, Randy is preceded in death by his sister, Ginny Giannone, brothers-in-law Joe Giannone and Charles Tarwater.  Survived by wife,  Barbara Ann (Urish) McKavish; children Randy (Beth);  Ryan (Stacey); Missy (Jerry); and Rayme;   seven beautiful grandchildren: Amani, Collin, Alainah, Paige, Colton, Kendyl and Sydney.  Also survived by sisters, Dr. Kathy (George) Puskar and Patty Tarwater; and Randy was a special brother-in-law and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.   Randy was the former owner of McKavish Construction and former teacher of carpentry at Admiral Peary Area Vocational Technical School for 30 years.   He was able to fully enjoy his retirement, doing what he loved most;  packing up his motor home and setting out on new adventures with his family.  Randy loved going to his workshop where all of his buddies would stop in and just talk for hours.  His loving and caring demeanor and infectious smile will forever be missed, but his spirit will forever live within our hearts.  Dearest friends and family will be received on Wednesday, June 22nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at Askew Funeral Home, Inc., 300 North Julian Street, Ebensburg, PA, 15931. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday,  June 23^rd, at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev.
