PERSIO - Attorney Dino S., 87, of Ebensburg, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Amber Hills, Cambria Care Center. Born September 8, 1934, in Revloc, PA. Son of the late Domenick and Domenica (Masci) Persio. Last surviving member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, the former Rosemary (DeFrank) Persio; son, Stephen Persio, and brothers: Peppino, Philip and Geno.  Survived by children: Deborah (Dr. Robert) Maruca; Linda (Rick) Link; Kevin (Dionne) Persio; and Gregory (fiance' Nancie) Persio; daughter-in-law: Maria; fourteen grandchildren: Greta, Michael, Anthony, Robert Jr., Marc, Nicholas, David, Jessica, Estella, Nova, Angelo, Chelsea, Joshua and Breezy; and nine great-grandchildren: Brady, Beckett, Hadley, Alex, Stephen, Coleson, Ryder, Macy Rosemary and Miles.  Dino was a lifelong member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg, and was man of devout faith. He was a regular attendee of daily mass and served as counsel to many pastors.  He was a graduate of Ebensburg Cambria High School in 1952, St. Francis College in 1955 and University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1958. He was admitted to the practice of law in 1958, and proudly represented clients for nearly 65 years. In addition to managing a busy and diverse law practice, he always had a passion for real estate development, including the development of apartment buildings, shopping centers, restaurants, motels, and other real estate projects. Many local people gained employment over the years, as a result of those projects. Dino was honored to be inducted into the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Business Hall of Fame in 2017.  He contributed much of his time to serve on the advisory and governing boards of many local business and charitable organizations, including Reliance Savings Association, C & G Savings Bank, Peoples Savings & Loan Association, St. Francis University Board of Trustees, Holy Name Church, Cambria County Heart Association, Cambria County Humane Society, Victim Services, Inc., Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Third Order Regular Finance Committee, Ebensburg Ambulance Association, Independent Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown and the Center for Organ Recovery & Education. 

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Fr. Brian Warchola, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Mausoleum.
