Obituary of Benyamin Noya

NOYA – Rev. Benyamin, 73, of Ebensburg, formerly of Indonesia, passed away peacefully July 19, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.  Born October 1, 1948 in Ambon, Indonesia, son of the late Enos and Batsheba Noya.  Survived by his wife, Suryati, to whom he was married 49 years; daughters: Imeza, Nataylia “Christina”, and Natashia; as well as many siblings back in Indonesia.  “Beny” had a marvelous and adventurous life, he had served as an oil tanker captain and served as a Pentecostal minister, pastoring a church in his homeland, Indonesia.  In 2001, he graduated from the Covington Theological Seminary in Georgia.  He enjoyed writing, planning worship services, arranging music, gardening, and will be long remembered for his cooking.  He loved God and loved his family.    A private funeral service will be held at the family's convenience.  Friends will be received from 3:00 pm. to 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 23rd at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg,  Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.  Condolences for the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
