Obituary of Robert Michael Bernard

BERNARD – Robert Michael, 65, of Hastings, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, July 24^th, at home, surrounded by his loving family.  Born March 16, 1957 in Spangler, son of the late William J. and Helen (Waksmunski) Bernard, Sr.  Preceded in death by brother James Brian Bernard and sister, Michele Bernard.  Survived by wife, Linda J. (Beltowski) to whom he was married 38 years and daughters Vanessa (John Paul) Houser, Loretto; Kristin (William); and Alexandria (Shawn) Patil, of Holly Springs, NC;  four grandchildren: Sebastian and Adelaide Houser and Bair and Charlie.  Also survived by brother,  William J. (Patricia) Bernard, Jr., of Hastings.  Retired from and a member of the Iron Workers Local Union #3, Pittsburgh.  Bob loved to travel with his wife, enjoyed and respected the great outdoors, and especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  A member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church, Hastings.  Friends will be received from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday,  at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., 300 N. Julian Street, Ebensburg, Pa., where a vigil prayer service will be held.  Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, the Rev.
