Obituary of Clinton R. Solt

SOLT - Clinton R., 85, of Vinco, passed away Oct. 4, 2007 at home. Born July 7, 1922 in Williamsport, son of the late Albert and Lydia (Clapsaddle) Solt. Preceded in death by wife, Clare; sisters Esther Grimes, Leona Berry and Alberta Springman and infant brother, Mark. Survived by children: Clinton Jr., of Vinco; Irvin (Robbie), California; David (Linda), Texas; and Sharon (Rob) Percinsky, of Greensburg; grandchildren: Jennifer, Richard, Melissa, David, Jr. and Michelle and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters: Marcella "Dolly" Forney of New York and Charlene Blanchard of Williamsport; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Former Postal Inspector with Johnstown Post Office for 15 years. Retired Chief Master Sergeant, US Air Force with 22 years of service. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be sung at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Paul Robine, celebrant. Committal at Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Johnstown. Military Rite by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clinton's memory may be made to his church.
