Obituary of Gerald R. Fox

FOX – Gerald R., 84, of Vinco, passed away Jan. 24, 2023 at home. Born Oct. 16, 1938 in Dunlo, son of the late Cyril and Ruth Fox. Preceded in death by daughter, Sherri L. Deal and grandson, Sean Deal. Survived by his wife of 30 years, the former Cheryl Black-Deal; and children, Kimberly (Chris) Molnar; Thomas (Tammy) Fox; Dorinda Terpilowski; Sondra (Mick) Altman; and Allen Deal. Also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Gerald was a 3X Past Master of Summit Lodge#312, F & A. M., Ebensburg. Member of Altoona Jaffa Shrine. Former member of Trac II Round & Square Dance Club, Salix. Former 5^th Grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School for 36 years. An avid outdoorsman, he also enjoyed dancing, going on cruises, rock collecting and making jewelry. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Pastor Darren Abraham, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerald's memory may be made to Summit Lodge # 312 Ebensburg or to Windber Hospice.
