Obituary of Richard J. Belchick

BELCHICK – Richard J., 62, of Cresson, passed away February 6, 2023.  Born September 4, 1960 son of  Richard M. Belchick and Avanell K. Bender.  Preceded in death by father, maternal and paternal grandparents, and brother-in-law William Smith.  Survived by wife, Lisa (Eberhart), with whom he spent 30 years together; daughter, Jodi Eberhart; mother, Avanell; sisters: Susan M. Reitmyer, Lisa Hare, and Joy Bender; as well as niece, Kimberli.  Rick had a zest for life.  He was well known for his cooking, and loved his puppy “Jack.”   He was a 1950s’ enthusiast, being extremely knowledgeable about the music of the era, as well as a fan of the cars.  Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc, Ebensburg, where a Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Pastor Kenneth Brown, officiating. Interment at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Cresson.  Donations in Rick’s memory may be made to the Cambria County Humane Society.   Condolences for the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
