Obituary of Connie Lashley

LASHLEY – Connie (Hershberger), 85, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully March 1, 2023 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born February 24, 1938 in Bedford, daughter of the late William and Evelyn (Baker) Hershberger.  Preceded in death by husband Kenneth W. Lashley, and infant brother Richard Hershberger.  Survived by children:  Mike (Maxine) Lashley, Richard “Dusty” Lashley and Cheri (Greg) Novotny;   grandchildren:  Brandon, Lyndon and Marissa; and great-grandchildren:  Christopher, Matthew, Isaac, Greyson, Ene, and Evelyn.  Also survived by brother Robert (Louise) Hershberger.  Connie was a member of the Ebensburg United Church of Christ (Congregational) and was a member of the Eastern Star.  Connie was retired from the food service department at Central Cambria High School.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed her family times at the cabin.  A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 25th, at the Ebensburg United Church of Christ, Mr. Andrew Jones, officiating, followed by a light luncheon in the church hall.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s memory may be made to her church.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
