DEETSCREEK – Deana J., 53, of Vinco, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2023 at home. Born July 8, 1969 in Indiana, daughter of the late Dean and Janet (Gregg) Cassidy. Survived by husband Paul to whom she was married for 29 years; and daughters, Allyson (Logan) Berns; and  Ashley Deetscreek. Sister of Nicole Cassidy; Chance (Bethany) Cassidy; and Sean (Phoebe) Cassidy. Also survived by mother in law and father in law, Debbie and Bud Deetscreek; in laws, Bob and Michele Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner. First Grade teacher at Jackson Elementary School for nearly 30 years. Social member of Jackson Twp. Fire Company. Served on Jackson Twp. Heritage Festival Committee. Deana will be sadly missed by her family and friends, especially her original “Framily”; the Vinco Heights Crew; and her Red Devil Community. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo and from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pastor Kevin McNamara, officiating.
