What a shock when I was reading the obits online from my hometown newspaper to see that Sharon Kysar had passed away! I met Sharon when I was a Realtor at Long and Foster (2000). She was always a smiling reassuring face when I first got my license. We bonded because we were both from the Johnstown PA area and many in my family worked at Bethlehem Steel. She came to my going away gathering when the Air Force relocated my husband in 2005. After moving to Florida and opening my own Brokerage, Sharon sold a dear friend's property for me in Newport News. It was not an easy transaction, but she did it professionally and with her signature sweet laugh! I send my sincere condolences to her family and friends. I know her light will continue to shine through you all. May she rest in peace with her son and all her family in Heaven.

I'm at a loss for words. My life literally changed overnight when I met Sharon.... For the oh soooo much better too! We became great friends and my children and I even went to visit and torture her with a WEEK LONG visit after she moved to Virginia and my family was living in Germany. I'll never forget spending the day at the beach with her kids, my kids, driving home, getting pulled over and both MY boys were NAKED!!! (We had some serious explaining to do that's for sure!) Her door was always open, her happiness laughter and smile contagious. I.... I'm in shock! As I'm sure you all are. I only wish I had a magic pill to give u to take away EVERYONES heartbreak and sadness. She DEFINATLEY left a lasting impression on my life and helped me grow into the woman, person I am today. As ti e we t on our contact became far and I between but we ALWAYS picked right up where we left off like no time had ever passed between us. Omg! I'm cracking up as I remember running down the hill to her house when. She lived in N. C. On pope AFB and I ran smack I to the CLEAR GLASS safety door!!! Bahaha NEVER broke it thank God! But her, the kids and Pam Hostettler came running to see what had happened! There I was sprawled out on my back STUNNED into stupidity(and in denial) about what had just happened!! We ALL cracked up, so much so that Sharon almost peed her pants she was laughing so hard!!!
I loved.... I LOVE that woman!!! Sniffle
.... Sob... RIP beautiful lady!!! Looking forward to seeing u soon. Until that day....

Sharon was a spitfire!! Tho tiny in stature she was larger than life!! The day I met her changed my life FOREVER!
We had MANY adventures together. Most I'll take to the grave! Lol ...One in particular stands out tho.... I went to her house when her family was living at Pope AFB. She had this CLEAR GLASS safety door that was always shut and locked with the front door always open so she could view the entire front yard and actually SEE who came to her door. Well the driveway dipped down and I was running a little late so I went running down that little hill picking up momentum and crashed smack dab into the glass door. Thinking she had left the front door open just for me! THANK GOD it didnt break! Sharon, all three of the kids and our friend Pam Hostettler came running to see what on earth had happened! There I was sprawled out on my back dazed and confused by my recent encounter. Of course they ALL errupted into laughter so much so that tears actually ran down Sharon's leg she was laughing so hard! It musta been a site that's for sure!
We planned many excursions and fun times together. She got me involved in the O. W. C where I became the Hospitality Director, had her husband Kent select me to be on a Congressional sub committee regarding military life, she indulged my silliness and never once judged me. She helped bring me out of some serious post partum depression and I owe her my LIFE! for that.
As time went on our visits and conversations became far and few in-between but we were always able to pick right back up where we left off as if no time had ever passed between us. She was a rare Gem and anyone who crossed her path I hope realizes how truly lucky they are.
Thank u Sharon for being my friend and being a positive role model for me.
Love u girl!

With heavy hearts today, we are sad to hear that Sharon was ill and has suddenly passed away. We loved being with Sharon and remember her hearty laugh even across the room at numerous formal and informal gatherings. She had a wicked sense of humor, both dry and clever, and was always on target. We first met her while she was stationed at Rhein-Main AFB in Germany near Frankfurt. She was at many of the squadron parties, dinners, shopping tours, and holiday get-togethers.. Many of us got to be at her bridal shower and subsequent wedding/reception. I even got to arrange the horse-drawn carriage that took her and Kent from the church after the wedding to the Club for the reception. It was way too many years later that we finally got to visit her again in person, but the gap in time just faded away, and being with her just had us joking and laughing as if no time had passed. To her family, we hope you all will be comforted by the fact that she made so many lives enjoyable, and memorable. We wish you peace of mind that she is not struggling or in discomfort. Sharon and I attended grade school together. When I saw her picture, I recognized her immediately. She had never changed and remained as beautiful as ever. Sharon was a wonderful and kind friend. I will keep her and her family in our prayers.
