Raymond Clyde Peterman Obituary

PETERMAN - Raymond C., 83, of Strongstown, passed away on May 26, 2023 at his residence.  Born December 25, 1939 in Cambria County, son of the late Ernest and Olive (Carrera) Peterman.  Preceded in death by wife, Doris Jean (Stephens) Peterman; brothers Richard J., Ronald "Fuzz", and Ernest L. "Ernie" Peterman; sisters:  Eileen Peterman, Carolyn Packer; sister-in-law Virginia Peterman; and brother-in-law, John Packer.  Survived by daughter, Theresa (Bill) Lesso; son,  Raymond (Kim) Peterman; grandchildren:  William S. Lesso, Danielle M. (Zach) Will, and Joseph R. Lesso.  Also survived by brother Robert J. Peterman and sisters-in-law Monica Peterman and Victoria Peterman and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was a retired superintendent of mine construction for Central Cambria Drilling.  A U.S. Army veteran , having been stationed in Germany during the Berlin missile crisis.  Ray was a member of the Belsano Methodist Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, enjoyed his work, his dog and loved all animals.  A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of his family, Pastor Bill Warrick, officiating.  Interment at Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.  Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo.  Condolences to the family may be left at www.askew-houser.com
