SHUMA – Stephen “Steve”, 85, of Ebensburg passed away June 30, 2023. Born January 15, 1938 in Spangler, the son of the late Michael and Gertrude Shuma. In addition to his parents, Steve is proceeded in death by two sisters; Barbara and Carolyn. Survived by wife of 55 years, Priscilla; daughters: Cynthia Westby, Carolyn (Eric) Miller, and Christine (Brian) Koscinski. Also survived by grandchildren: Brandyn (Erin) Pryce, Brady Pryce, Nicholas Koscinski, and Allyson Koscinski; one great-grandchild on the way; and siblings: Dorothy, Michael, and Delores. Steve was a lifelong lover of music, and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with the guys. In his younger years he had a brief stint as a radio disc jockey, before settling down and following his calling as a carpenter. Steve was also proud to be a veteran, having served in the United States Airforce for four years. Private services for Steve will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of Askew-Houser, Inc. Ebensburg.
